KATARA HOSPITALITY INTRODUCES ADVANCED FOOD SAFETY TRAINING FOR ITS QATAR BASED HOTEL EMPLOYEES

– A first of its kind course in the Middle East, the ISO 22002-2 Food Safety certification training was held in partnership with Bureau Veritas –
Katara Hospitality, the leading hotel owner, developer and operator based in Qatar, held an ISO 22002-2 Food Safety training session in Doha, in conjunction with Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC).
ISO 22002-2’s Food Safety training specifies the requirements for the design, implementation and maintenance programmes that assist in controlling potential food safety hazards in outlets offering catering and food-related services. Hotels, restaurants and dining outlets, hospitals and healthcare facilities, industry dining facilities, as well as mobile catering companies are known to take part in the exhaustive set of ISO certification training programs on food safety.
Head chefs, chief stewards and hygiene managers from the company’s Qatar-based hotels took part in the in training sessions, with representatives in attendance including those from The Ritz-Carlton Doha, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, Mövenpick Hotel Doha, Simaisma, a Murwab Resort, The Avenue, a Murwab Hotel, Sealine, a Murwab Resort and Saraya Corniche Hotel.
The comprehensive training session was conducted by Bureau Veritas, a global company well-renowned for delivering certification services and accreditations in awareness training. The program is designed to assist clients with meeting their operational objectives in line with product safety, quality, environmental protection and social responsibility.
Employees who took part in the ISO/TS 22002 Part-2: Catering for Katara Hospitality training were awarded Certificates of Attendance, in recognition for having completed the programme.
